Celebration, planting at Brugger's Bog on Saturday

Ballinger residents will be celebrating, and planting, at Brugger's Bog Park on Saturday.

The celebration is for the new bridge that has been built, which will help access to all parts of the park.

Neighbors from around the Ballinger area, along with volunteers from around Shoreline, will also be planting native plants around the bridge on Saturday between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. Volunteers will also learn more about the project and the park.

Those who want to take part in the planting are asked to bring their own gloves, sturdy shoes and rain gear, as it will likely be quite wet.

Kids are invited to help, but those under 14 need to be with an adult and those between 14-18 need a signed permission from a parent.

Need more info? Contact Eric Gilmore with the city at 206-801-2454 or at egilmore@shorelinewa.goc.

Brugger's Bog Park is located on 25th Avenue NE, north of 195th.
